Boyang-sik

Boyang-sik’ (補養食) refers to specially prepared foods that are intended to boost health or aid in recovery.

These dishes are rich in nutrients and beneficial ingredients, consumed to restore strength after illness, during recovery periods, or to enhance overall vitality, particularly after enduring the summer heat.

Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) is a representative dish of a beloved Boyang-sik in Korea.
